GUIDES
OUR 2026

Our guides are the colours and shades of the festival mosaic. Rooted in a diverse range of lineages, perspectives, and lived experience, they each carry a vital thread that orients us toward truth.

Bless these women for their courage to weave their heroine’s journeys into sacred teachings, and for opening the gates for us to learn, receive, and remember together.

CEREMONIES AND RITES

The Sacred Village

  • Brooklyn and Emma are the founders and stewards of The Sacred Village: a living, evolving ecosystem devoted to community, belonging, and legacy-building in a fractured world.

They are multidimensional leaders and mentors known for their grounded presence, emotional fluency, and capacity to hold the full spectrum of human experience with integrity. They meet women in the depths of grief, shadow, and complexity, and also call women into the remembering of their eternal nature and power. Their work is rooted in the belief that healing, leadership, and culture are restored through honest relationship, communal witnessing, and embodied responsibility.

Together, Brooklyn and Emma bring decades of combined experience in mentoring women, trauma-literate facilitation, ceremonial leadership, creative entrepreneurship, event production, and large-scale community building. They have guided thousands of women through festivals, rites of passage, grief ceremonies, retreats, and long-term mentorship, creating spaces that cultivate lasting transformation both personally and collectively.

Their union is a central part of their medicine. As partners in life and work, they lead from lived relationship. This relational field is what many experience as magnetic, grounded, coherent, and real.

At the heart of their work is a commitment to building cultures of belonging where women are resourced and legacy is shaped through care, courage, and continuity across generations.

As The Sacred Village enters its fourth expression, Brooklyn and Emma remain deeply involved in every layer of the festival, standing for a culture where no one is left behind, where sisters rest on one another’s wings and touch new heights of love and truth together.

  • Wild Edge: Grief Ceremony

Wild Edge serves as a cornerstone of The Sacred Village - a living prayer woven into the very heart of the festival field. Inspired by the lineage and teachings of Francis Weller’s 5 Gates of Grief and the legacy of Sobonfu, Malidoma Some and the West Dagara tradition, this ceremonial space invites women into a communal relationship with sorrow as a sacred, ancient, and necessary rite of belonging.

This is not a ceremony of forced catharsis or emotional discharge. Rather, Wild Edge is an elemental prayer - a slow, reverent offering of grief to the fire, the earth, and the circle of witnesses. Women are invited to safely and gently titrate into their emotional bodies, cultivating the capacity to be with what is alive in their systems and hearts, while arriving more deeply at their own inner axis of repair, coherence, and wholeness.

Within this field, grief may move as the retrieval of exiled parts, the softening of self-judgment, the release of ancestral and collective burdens, the emergence of forgiveness, or a deepened trust in life as it is — in all of its paradoxical beauty. Often, it is simply the remembering of one’s own capacity to stay present with sorrow without collapsing or bypassing.

Wild Edge lives as a practice of communal witnessing - an ancient technology of healing where women are held in their agency, self-resourcing, and co-regulation. As grief is remembered not only as a personal relationship but a collective one, the field becomes a place of reciprocity unification of hearts.

This ceremony has taken many forms over the years, growing and maturing with the wider community mission. It remains a central hearth of Sacred Village - a place where grief and gratitude merge; where being seen is a sacrament of belonging.

Jen & Zelda

  • Jen is a shape-shifter devoted to awakening the fierce wisdom within. As a Trauma-Informed Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Tea Ceremonialist, Medical Qigong Therapist and Mother - she blends ancient practices with modern insight to ignite transformation. Her tea ceremonies are rituals of sacred stillness, her qigong classes a dance of energy and renewal.

She works 1:1 in person and online, facilitates group experiences, and hosts both private & open retreats on her conservation forest land in the Mono Cliffs of Ontario. She treasures time spent around the fire in remembrance of our ancestors and the medicines of song & story & community.

With cheeky reverence and grounded grace, Jen creates spaces where the deep rhythms of life are rediscovered so that we can all access that magical well of rejuvenation.

Zelda is a sassy preteen with a sharp wit, infectious laugh, and a love of saying it like it is. She grew up exploring festivals and is grateful to be joining The Sacred Village this year co-facilitating her first intergenerational circle on teenage rebellion - sharing her perspective with honesty, humor, and heart. She loves singing, swimming, skiing, and keeping life playful with friends and new adventures.

  • SACRED REBELS

Calling all mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers & bad-ass aunties! Growing up has always been powerful, messy, magical… and witnessed. In this intergenerational sharing circle, we gather pre/teens and the women who love them to explore what adolescence really asks of us. From an evolutionary perspective, it is a necessary time of differentiation: a testing of boundaries, values, and identity that helps us discover who we are apart from those who raise us. When community rites of passage are absent, this essential energy often turns into conflict & disconnection. Bring your stories - of the rules you broke, the thresholds you crossed, and the ways you may have unknowingly initiated yourself into young adulthood - and how those moments shaped the person you are today. Rebellion is the soul’s first attempt at freedom. When we meet it with wisdom instead of fear, we help teens grow into adults who trust themselves - and trust us.

Dianne Doyle-Lynch

  • Dianne Doyle-Lynch is the creatrix of Blue Moon Healing and has been holding healing spaces for women for over 20 years as an Osteopathic practitioner, Red Tent Facilitator & Wild Moon International Retreat leader. Her main passion is honoring the sacred rites of passage that are often ignored or overlooked: birthing death, infertility & pregnancy loss. As a mother of eight souls (five of whom soar in the spirit realm) she understands the journey of sitting with and holding space for a grieving womb as the portal between worlds closes too soon.

  • Croning Ceremony

In our Croning Ceremony women of all ages & stages of being, gather to honor those in their Crone years.

The time of giving their blood to the Earth has passed and now the time has come to welcome the sharing of their wisdom.

We will gather in sacred Circle to sing the Crone women into their becoming.

They will be adorned with flower crowns upon their heads, and rose petals at their feet as we listen to the stories of their final bleed and what it taught them.

In this ceremony the Crones are not tossed aside or forgotten. Here, they are valued as elders, wise ones and teachers, just as it was meant to be. They are crowned as Matriarch. They are witnessed. They are seen. And they help us to rewrite the visions we have of ourselves as aging women.

  • Living in Right Relationship with Sacred Medicines: An Experiential Talk & Ritual Workshop

We are inherently in relationship with all Life.
Relationship is not only intimacy, but responsibility.

Plants are not resources; they are our living relatives.
Sentient and sovereign, they carry lineages of wisdom that have been preserved  by Indigenous cultures for generations. When they meet us, they call us into reciprocity: to listen, to protect, to steward, and to transmit with discernment, care and commitment.

In recent years, Sacred Medicines have been displaced from their ancestral lands and absorbed into modern culture - often renamed, commodified, and consumed without context. What was once ceremonial has become trendy; what was once relational is now transactional. This shift asks us to reflect and re-evaluate what Right Relationship means to us and how we engage with these very powerful teachers, healers and allies of the Natural World.

This experiential workshop explores Plant Consciousness and the preservation of Sacred Medicines through an ethical lens, including a ritual with Amazonian Plants from Mariana’s extensive apprenticeship with the Shipibo tradition. Together we will reflect on:

    • Cultivating reverent, reciprocal relationships with Plant Spirits

    • The impacts of extractive and colonial patterns of consumption

    • The responsibility of sharing medicine in the age of visibility and social media

    • Recalibrating the Modern Medicine Woman with the Ancestral Medicine Carrier —
the one who walks in alignment, does not negotiate integrity, and creates impact in service to Life and Lineage.

This space is an invitation to remember:
Medicine is not something we take.
It is a relationship of accountability and honesty.

Nessi Gomes

  • Nessi Gomes is a British-Portuguese songwriter born on the island of Guernsey. Her music doesn’t try to lift you above life. It walks you straight into it. She writes with a quiet intensity, where beauty sits beside fear, where longing doesn’t ask to be solved, and where the darker corners are given air, not shame.

There are flecks of her Portuguese roots in the way she moves through feeling, the ache, the longing, the stubborn hope, but nothing about her is performance. She writes to know herself. She sings to stay honest. Music became the space where she could exist on her own terms, after years of feeling caught between cultures and never quite 'fitting' anywhere else.

Her debut album Diamonds & Demons opened a door. Since then, she has shared her work internationally, in rooms big and small, always choosing presence over polish, truth over pretence.

Nessi is currently writing her second album, leaning deeper into shadow, tenderness, and the quiet courage it takes to stay open in a hardening world.

  • Vocal Odyssey

Vocal Odyssey is a deep yet playful self-inquiry journey into the mystery and healing forces of our most intimate musical instrument - the voice.

The process invites us to move beyond the noise of the mind and open a doorway to a new relationship with our vocal expression, one that is transformative, honest, and alive. It brings us closer to our beautiful, raw, wild and imperfect human flow.

The voice is a bridge to something greater than ourselves, it is our connection to the prayer we carry. In this group, we reconnect with the simple, natural way of expressing our authentic voice, beyond judgment, painful beliefs, and limiting conditioning.

Madison Ryley

  • Madison has a passion for bringing people together in the name of healing with their own voices. Vibration is the key to unlocking profound physical healing, and connecting to your voice in this way helps to deepen your connection to your truest, most authentic self.

After studying to be an opera singer and receiving a Masters of Music, she quickly realised this was not her path. Instead of shying away from her operatic past, she took her strong foundation and understanding of the voice, and blended it with her passion for yoga, breathwork, and meditation to create her business “Yogapella, Holistic Voice Coaching & The Yoga of Singing” in which she hosts workshops, retreats and events across Toronto and in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala, where she lived for just under 3 years. Madison has completed many Yoga Teacher Trainings across Canada and India, and has studied various types of meditation (vipassana, mindfulness, yoga nidra, transcendental) as well as having extensive knowledge of the breath, and various forms of breath work that she includes in her workshops (i.e. wim hof, diaphragmatic, ekadasi kriya, pranayam, rebirthing, holotropic & more).

In her workshop or retreat setting, we will be exploring how mindful meditation, movement, gentle breathing practices, and toning exploration can help unlock blocked energies in the body, and transmute past traumas into sound. We will release the sound from an embodied and safe space, leaving us feeling lighter, more connected and calm.

Madison is so excited to be sharing this work with the world, where together we will explore what it means to activate and heal with your own voice!

  • Kirtan Medicine Concert

Madison is SO thrilled to be offering a Kirtan chanting & Medicine music experience for the Sacred Village again this year! Curious about what to expect, and maybe this is your first Kirtan?
    So what is Kirtan exactly?

Kirtan is a beautiful experience of singing with your community. The chants are usually sung in Sanskrit, the ancient Indian language and are done in a call and response format. With roots in the Vedic anukirtana tradition, It may also include dancing or direct expression of bhavas (emotive states) by the singer. Many kirtan performances are structured to engage the audience where they either repeat the chant, or reply to the call of the singer.

All this said, NO singing experience is required to get something from this unique experience! I also offer a more secular take on this ancient practice. We certainly are chanting to various Hindu gods & goddesses, but each mantra is really just about love & unity, and not dogmatic in nature. We will also be singing various medicine songs from all over the world, so this is a truly unique and heart-fulfilling experience.

So come, sing, play, activate your TRUE voice & dance your way into a more enlightened state of be-ing!

You will surely leave feeling lighter & more joyful

It derives from the Sanskrit word kundal, which translates to “coiled energy.” We all have energy gathered at the base of our spine and, through the practice of Kundalini Yoga we bring that energy up our spine through the energy centres, or chakras, in our body, and out through the crown of our head. Jocelyn will guide us through a potent Kundalini Yoga practice to prepare us the receive the teachings and blessings being shared with by and with our Sacred Village.

  • CHA DAO: THE WAY OF TEA

How you relate to yourself sets the foundation for how you relate to everything else. In this ceremony we work with ancient, old-growth leaves of Camellia sinensis to deeply honour the present moment, drop into the heart space and open into our own wisdom. It is a beautiful integration amidst all that we are stirring up in this festival, and in our lives. Through The Way of Tea we learn to still ourselves, become attuned to the extraordinary in the ordinary, and open to the sacred nature of reality that exists right here, right now.

Natalie Natasha

  • Natalie is an intuitive, a visionary, a medium, a homeschooling mother, and an architect of a New Paradigm of Oneness. Her journey involves submergence in the realm of the unseen, ancestral resurrection, death and rebirth alchemy, sovereignty, receptivity, embodiment, matriarchy, and mysticism. Rooted in resilience and vision, Natalie decolonizes spiritual wellness spaces, expands representation and the return to unity consciousness, harmonious balance, and right relations with the Land. Her offerings of Forest School, Sisterhood Circles, and Love Festivals exemplify her pioneering liberation work that expands and blends the spheres of the spiritual and homeschooling communities. Natalie’s work guides herself and others out of the colonial system and back into organic connection with ancestral wisdom.

  • Dance Prayer

Too intense. Too dangerous. Too much. The wild feminine is a primal force. Shakti, in motion within our vessel, allows for the heart to undress, the body to unlearn repressed shame. We sit with the shame, like a kind lover instead of a condemning critic, alchemizing our inner world and birthing embodied movement that focuses on prayer and protection, over performance. This is true Tantra

Angie Aristone

  • Angie Aristone is a medium and animal communicator. She’s been a regular guest speaker at Western University King’s college over the last 20 years, demonstrating and dissecting the mechanics of psychic abilities in Psychology and Thanatology classes. She continues to participate in ongoing academic research there. She and her husband co-authored Consciousness Becomes You; a book about non local consciousness and her experiences as a medium. Her work is featured in 5 books, 3 by Dr.  Imants Baruss: The Impossible Happens, Radical Transformation and Transcendent Mind.

  • Ecstatic Dance

Angie is no stranger to the realms of the subtle and unseen. After igniting once unforgettable dance floor after another at Sacred Village, she returns to weave sonic alchemy once again. Teacher of extraordinary states of awareness, Angie has spent over two decades guiding others into the vastness of their own consciousness. Her understanding of altered states, paired with her deep love for music, makes her a conduit for liberation on the dance floor... where rhythm meets revelation.

This year she is bringing through two very distinct frequencies of ecstatic dance - a primal journey into the earth on Friday night, and an audacious "Truth + Dare" journey on Saturday night.
