JUNE 6-8 2025 | PORT DOVER, ON
A celebration of womanhood.
we have a new home!
The 2025 expression of the festival will be held at Homegrown Hideaway, an intimate sanctuary in Port Dover, Ontario, land of the Anishinabewaki.
Here, we will seed new dreams as we rest amongst the cedar groves and birth ourselves anew in the gentle current of the river.
WHERE PRAYERS COME TO LIFE
Not just a festival—a living prayer, a homecoming & a prayer for collective harmony...
It begins with us. Women at the centre.
A powerful, life shaping 3-day immersive experience where women gather to remember and retrieve their connection to the Sacred, within and without. This gathering is a celebration of our womanhood and an invitation to reconnect to our hearts, our roots, and the beauty of each other’s reflections. Through ceremony, music, dance, art, and nourishing experiences, we reawaken the ancient village way—where community holds, heals, and transforms us.
Here, we honour life and women in all her many phases—birth, maidenhood, motherhood, magahood, elderhood, death—embracing the cyclical wisdom of nature. The Sacred Village Festival is more than a gathering, it is a living prayer, a reweaving and rewilding of our feminine essence, an axis point where we can nurture the seeds of change and create the world we dream of for our children’s children. Together we are catalyzing necessary cultural change for humanity through personal transformation, community care, and guardianship of the Earth.
We bow to the crones who hold the village with us - they are the pillars of a robust community, and we sit at their feet with reverence for what they carry and so generously share. May we listen, receive, and honour their wisdom as they pass the torch of responsibility onto the next generations of women in service.
Michelle Hanson-Cunningham is a revered figure in the realm of women's empowerment, known affectionately as the Matriarch of Moonlodge. For the past 20 years, Michelle has dedicated her life to guiding and supporting women on their journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment.

HELOISA PORTO
Heloisa da Silva Porto, R.P. is an initiated elder by Malidoma Somé, and has been on a healing and spiritual path since her adolescence in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her commitment to serve as healer/therapist became clear in 1995, when she had a spiritual awakening in a sweat lodge.
MAYA LAROSE
Although Maya is known as an Elder and Knowledge Keeper, she works in the community as a PSW, End-of-life Doula, an Officiant and community builder through the variety of services she provides to our local community.
After having a career in business, Sandy was surprised by a twist of fate to discover she was a healer. Enthusiastically pursuing this knowledge led to many adventures in ancient shamanic methods plus several modern techniques such as Therapeutic Touch and Jikiden Reiki Experience as a Palliative Care volunteer in a local hospital convinced her of the benefits of energy healing.

This song was birthed from the soul of the village—channeled by Ashley Gilmore as a tribute to the women, the land, and the living prayer of this gathering.
“May our hearts echo with the strength of our ancestors, reminding us that we are seen, celebrated and cherished. May we invoke the magic that dwells within us, illuminating our paths and igniting our spirits”
~ Ashley Gilmore
